The US has vast changes in temperatures to suit anyones liking. Hawaii and Florida have tropical temperatures all year round. Alaska has arctic temperatures although summer temperatures range from a mild 60°F to a nice 80°F. Desert conditions exist in New Mexico and Nevada. Low winter temperatures in the northwest are occasionally broken in January and February by warm Chinook winds from the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

The landscape is that of a vast central plain, mountains in the west, hills and low mountains in the east; rugged mountains and broad river valleys in Alaska; and rugged, volcanic countryside in Hawaii. Mt. McKinley is highest point in North America and Death Valley the lowest point on the continent. . Located in California, Death Valley is 282 feet below sea level. It is about 140 miles long and 4 to 16 miles wide. Only a little over 2 inches of rain falls on Death valley on average per year. Scorching heat in Death Valley has reached 134 º Fahrenheit.

The United States has such vast contrasts in temperatures and topography depending on the state that here the sky is the limit. A dream vacation at your doorstep
