Long Description: Kingfisher Lodge is nestled on the shore of Lake Brunner, on the West coast of the South Island, 28 miles (50 kms) inland from Greymouth. Host is a local historian and professional fishing guide.
Accommodation is B&B style, staying with your host and family for an interesting cultural experience. Meals are an interesting mix of Thai and Kiwi styles, using fresh local ingredients. Hostess is an experienced Thai chef who has operated restaurants in Bangkok and New Zealand.
Try fishing with guides amongst the rain forests of New Zealand's West Coast, "Where the Brown Trout Die of Old Age!" Competitive rates include guide services, 4WD and drift boat transportation, Bed & Breakfast lodge accommodation, all meals, use of all fishing equipment, and fishing licenses!
Fishing opportunities include spring-fed streams, freestone rivers large and small, plus lake margins. Crystal-clear water, and stalking and casting to sighted trout are features of the local fishing.
