Short Description: Flyfishing in the Lakes Region, Patagonia

Long Description: During recent years as the popularity of fly-fishing increased, the number of outfitters offering excellent lodging and accommodations in Argentina has increased significantly. We, at FlyManiacs take a different approach to obtain the best in actual results for the experienced and knowledgeable aficionados to fly-fishing. Why? Only mounted trout stay in lodges, real trout prefer rivers, and as rivers change along the season, the same things happen to trout, they move along the rivers as different water conditions and fishing pressure puts them on the search of new habitats (and far away from lodges).

FlyManiacs has specifically designed eight different fly-fishing packages according to your skills, preferences, and time of the season to suit every serious angler willing to trade a little comfort for a better fishing. We do not offer gourmet cuisine served in Chinese porcelain, king size beds with a garden view and air-conditioning, but open air barbecues and stews, riverside camps and the best trout fishing Argentina has to offer. We will take you to an unbelievable experience in the Patagonia outdoors and show to you places really away from civilization, reachable only in 4x4 vehicles, rafts or extended walks; where rarely fished waters packed with wild trout and a lifetime of memories are awaiting for your arrival.

Each of these unique packages will include seven nights and six fishing days, with three to four nights spent at riverside camps and the rest at hotels. (We are not totally savage) Two or three days float trips are included in all packages, to allow you to reach the most remote areas of some of the most secluded and picturesque rivers. We usually fish three different rivers in a week with the exception of the Alumine package, were we float almost 60 miles of this river for a full week. For those who prefer, some stillwater fishing can be arranged in some of the many lakes in the area that hold excellent populations of some of the largest specimens of all the three trout species; Rainbow, Brown and Brook.
