Long Description: The Lodge at Whale Pass is Alaska's first remote lodge to provide the same level of service and planning for eco-tours and multi-sports as we do sportfishing.
The lodge is designed for up to 30 people. There are single & double rooms and large suites, all with private baths. You will be treated to some of the finest dining in the region prepared by worldclass chefs with years of experience, who hone their skills in the off-season at high-end ski towns. Their is a hot tub overlooking the bay with a Finnish-style sauna. And for some extra pampering our licenced massuese will help work out the kinks from the days activities. Our separate rec room with its commanding views of the bay is the perfect place to unwind. Relax by the fireplace with a glass of wine or belly up to the full bar. There is a gaming area off to one side with pool table, ping pong, foosball and shuffleboard.
From our deluxe accomodations you can enjoy a wide variety of adventure activities including sea-kayaking, whale watching, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, caving and beach combing, just to name a few. These are fully guided and outfitted activities that can be tailored to a variety of skill levels and interests. Many of these activities can be combined in the same day to make your adventure unique.
The sports fishing in this region is world famous and for good reason. You will pick from number of guided and unguided sportfishing opportunities including saltwater fishing for salmon, halibut and bottomfish. We have custom 29' walk-around cabin cruisers that allow plenty of room to spread out and play fish. Each boatis equipped with the latest marine electronics to ensure your pleasure and safety. There are dozens of lakes and streams on our island and many more on nearby islands offering great opportunities for some exciting freshwater fly & light tackle fishing for Salmon, Rainbow & Cutthroat trout, Dolly Varden and Steelhead.
Rytful Adventures has also put together a wonderful kids program to help expose them to nature while giving mom and dad a chance to venture off on their own. Most of the adventure activities can also be done as a family unit. What better place to bond than the wilds of Alaska's Inside Passage. And for those traveller's looking to avoid the little ones, we block off some 'adult only' weeks throughout the season.
