Short Description: Finest Largemouth Bass Fishing in the State of Ark

Long Description: We support, and work with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission regularly, Catch and Release Foundation, Black Bass Federation and Restoration Projects.
Millwood Lake Guide Service has been featured numerous times on the popular TV show Fishing Country with Charlie Pack. We guide for Black (largemouth) bass, White bass, and Kentucky bass.
We can supply tackle, photography, cold drinks (no alcohol) and snacks, assist in area lodging reservations or state park and RV reservations, etc.
Millwood Lake is approximately 35,000 acres w/13 gate dam and state park operated by the USCE and The Arkansas Dept of Parks and Tourism ArkansasStateParks. Fed by 3 rivers, it is a bass haven. Cypress trees, laydowns, stumps, hydrilla, coontail moss , deertounge grass, eel grass, Lilly pads, and standing timber fill this lake to the brim with bait fish and huge bass. Lake record Largemouth bass is over 14.5 pounds, with numerous others taken in the 10-13 pound class very recently. The Arkansas Game and Fish Biologists tell us that they do believe next Arkansas state record Largemouth likely swims, and is alive, RIGHT NOW in Millwood Lake! This lake has been stocked regularly over the past 15 years by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission with Florida Bass purebreds for improving the genetics of the ecosystem. Prime spawning cycles (including the pre-spawn) begin in mid-to-late February and last through May on various parts of the lake. Summer, June-September can be a top water bonanza on this reservoir. Buzz baits, baby torpedoes, pop-r's, bass assassins, zara spooks, spit'n images, all draw ferocious attacks at the surface, on Millwood. Fall schooling activities usually begin in mid-to late September and continue through November, depending on cold fronts . It is common to catch numbers of 50 to 200 and more Whites and Blacks in the fall when the White bass run begins.
